Songs & Steel | 16 May 2013 | 6pm - 8pm
Join us for Museums at Night 2013 and help us celebrate Sheffield as a city of steel and song.
Visitors can enjoy rare after hours tours of Kelham Island Museum, music and living history - meet Kellam Homer, the former Town Armourer who Kelham Island was named after.
Our two new exhibitions celebrating 100 Years of Stainless Steel will also be open and local choirs Tintagel Voices and Creative Edge will be performing a variety of songs including traditional English Folk Songs.
Visitors are invited to join us in song for a very special and fun filled performance - a mass duet with our star attraction, the colossal River Don Engine. This working steam engine once powered a rolling mill making armour plating for First World War battleships.
Little Mesters Café will be open for refreshments.
Please book your FREE place on 0114 2010613.
