Welcome to Yorkshire members network at Museum
21st February 12
Over 60 venues we're represented at the Welcome to Yorkshire Networking Event hosted at Kelham Island Museum last night

The Welcome to Yorkshire team including Area Manager, David Friesner were at hand to introduce potential partnerships and W2Y members were treated to top 'Show Business Selling' tips from special guest speaker, Yorkshire's very own star Nicky Pattinson.

Other presenters included Peter Todd, Sales & Marketing Director at Welcome to Yorkshire and Richard Laurence from Innsight TV took the Member Spotlight. Kelham Island Museum's Business Development Manager, Richard Saward as host for the evening talked about Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust's plans for 2012.

Thanks to Kelham Island Brewery who gave W2Y members a taste of the local tipple on offer just around the corner from the museum.

Engineers conservation project underway
1st February 12

The Sheffield and Ecclesall Co-operative Milk Float sits in our open engineers workshop ready for conservation - come and take a look!
The float cargo deck has been removed and the aluminium has been stripped from it's roof. Our intention whilst replacing the missing roof and Cargo deck is to maintain as much original material as possible.

The float was submerged in the floods of 2007 so will require a full strip down and deep clean. All breaks were seized on whilst in storage so they are stripped and awaiting replacement seals.
The electric's will also be investigated to see if a set of salvaged batteries might get it operational around site? What a sight that would be on our cobbled streets at Kelham!
