Join us for our 19th Victorian Christmas Market 

Kelham Island Museum -Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December 2010

Last year's market attracted over 12,000 visitors over the two day event and we hope to draw even more along this year with an exciting stalls and family entertainment programme.

Please note the closing date for applications is 10 Sept 2010 however we are still accepting applications for our stall waiting list which will be applied as space become available.

Entertainers, Demonstrators and Performers

From choirs to street performers, traditional skills demonstrators to ice skating, we're hoping to pack as much festive cheer into this year's event as possible! Please contact us at events@simt.co.uk or 0114 272 2106 and tell us how you would like to get involved.

 

Ever wondered Wotsit?

Our 'Wotsit' session takes place on Sunday 29 August 12pm - 3pm at Kelham Island Museum and is a great opportunity to bring along your own mystery tools for identification. Let Ken Hawley and his volunteers give you expert explanation of how they were used.

Admission is free and the session gives a fascinating insight into the internationally renowned collection of tools housed within the Hawley Gallery along with a fun quiz for all tool enthusiasts out there!

Over 2000 people joined us to celebrate the Sheffield Wakes Weekends and for many the start of the holidays! The 1940's style event launched the new National Fairground Archive Resource Room at Kelham Island Museum in partnership with the University of Sheffield.
