Summer family activities will be running at Kelham Island Museum every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August (exc. 30th/31st August). Sessions will be drop in and take place between 11am and 1pm.

We've some great activities in store, for example come along on Tues 11 and Wed 12 August when these fun sessions tie in to the People, Places, Processes exhibition on display at the Museum. Accompanied children can take part in the Sheffield collage - adding to the recreated view of Sheffield in the 1730s painted by Thomas Oughtibridge.

The Melting Shop Play Area will be open through Sheffield School Holidays where kids will love being melted, poured, rolled and hammered - use your imagination to decide what you might become - it could be anything from a fork to an aeroplane!

See the mighty River Don Engine, the most powerful working steam engine in Europe in steam at 12 noon and 2pm and talk a walk along our Little Mesters street to see local craftspeople at work.

Stay for the day and fuel your family in the Furnace Café and take a look around our Museum Shop selling a wide range of books and gifts Made in Sheffield.
