Arguably the most important technology of the industrial revolution, steam has played a key role in Sheffield's industrial heritage. See a selection of working Steam Rollers, Traction Engines and Road Locomotives and take the chance to ask their owners and drivers all about them

Ridgeway Forge will demonstrate a range of time-honoured skills with traditional forge work demonstrations and hear how our ‘steel city' was built on the vibrant metal work industry
Family tours with our living history character Mr Tyzack, owner of Abbeydale Works. Children can help us solve the Abbeydale robbery and find the criminals still at large around the hamlet!
The popular ‘Anything Goes Orchestra' will play each afternoon with their Ukulele-based Big Band sounds

Have your photograph taken with the Kelham Flyer Miniature Engine
Traditional crafts and skills will be on display include iron smelting, cane seat making and woodturning demonstrations, along with a small selection of vintage items for sale, reminiscent of the era
On Sunday, visitors can find out more about the much anticipated reopening of Shepherd Wheel scheduled for later in the year and the official opening of the new JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre at Ecclesall Saw Mill later this month with information and displays from both the Friends of Porter Valley and Ecclesall Saw Mill.
Refreshments can be purchased in the cafe and the book shop will be open throughout.
Are you an engine, roller, vintage car driver or owner of anything celebrating steam and interested in attending - please contact Niki on 0114 2010610 or events@simt.co.uk
