This year it is 150 years since the Great Sheffield Flood.
Kelham Island was one of the areas of Sheffield that was affected by the powerful torrent of water on 11th March 1864.
As part of National Science & Engineering Week at Kelham Island Museum you can find out more about the science of water and see "science on a soapbox" demonstrations.
There will also be a re-enactment of the Von Guericke experiment on Sunday 16 March.
