This Easter Sunday take part in our crafty Hamlet Easter Egg trail!
Hidden around the Hamlet will be egg-citing Easter Eggs made by members of the Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet community.
There will be textile eggs, glass eggs, turned wood eggs, gingerbread eggs and knitted eggs to name a few!
It's your job to find them all and unscramble the word they are trying to spell.
There will be an Easter treat for all children taking part and a chance to enter our prize draw to win a cuddly Easter Bunny and Easter Egg.
The Easter Egg Trail is suitable for children of all ages and is a free activity as part of normal admission.

Where would we be without wheels?
Ever since their invention, wheels have helped us travel further and faster and they're part of almost every machine we use.
To celebrate the Grand Depart from Yorkshire and the wheels of Le Tour - pick up our Wheels Trail and discover some of the wheels that have helped to make Sheffield the Steel City.
Don't miss the finest Sheffield-Made vehicles in the Charlesworth Transport Gallery, from the Sheffield Simplex car and motorcycles, to the iconic Penny Farthing and a Boneshaker bicycle made byJohn Crowley of Kelham Island.
Suitable for 7 - 11 year olds. Pick up your free Wheels Trail as part of normal museum admission.
The Melting Shop Play Area is open!
Our exciting three year £1 million Heritage Lottery Fund project to restore the Hamlet is underway with a new multi-media gallery and Learning Centre with museum shop and cafe opening Sunday 6 April 2014.
NEW Learning Centre, Cafe and Museum Shop
Make your first stop at the Hamlet our new fully accessible Learning Centre, a meeting place for both visitors and groups.
With our cafe serving hot and cold drinks and light refreshments, it's also a place to relax and admire the heritage site and see the craftspeople at work in our new onsite workshops.
All About Abbeydale
Experience Abbeydale as never before. Our new gallery, 'All About Abbeydale', reveals the story behind the works, it's people and their working lives through film and a multi-sensory timeline to help explore the site around you.
Catch a glimpse of everyday life at home and at work in our newly displayed houses and workshops or get hands on with history in 'The Works'.
Follow the repair of the machinery and the waterwheels as our restoration work continues all year round.
There's more for everyone to enjoy together as a family or friend of the Hamlet!

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet is now open all year round.

To celebrate the new release of the BFI DVD of THE BIG MELT, a film on Sheffield's steelworks and Britain's industrial past with a soundtrack by Jarvis Cocker, we are asking you to post your best 'Sheffield Steel' pictures on our social media pages.
We have one copy of the DVD to give away to the sender of our favourite picture - courtesy of British Film Institute.
