Family fun and making every Tuesday throughout the Sheffield school summer holidays!

Be inspired by Sheffield's industrial story to build, design and experiment at Kelham Island Museum.  From mega machines to mini models - what will you create?

Dates and themes:

Tuesday 30th July

Meet the people behind our steel history and make your own buffer girl or steel worker puppet.

Tuesday 6th August

'Machine Challenge': Design, invent and build the machines of the future.

Tuesday 13th August

Handle real objects from our collection and have a go at drawing them.

Tuesday 20th August

Sheffield steel at sea!  We'll be rolling and modelling to make a replica Royal Navy ship.

Tuesday 27th August

Super Simplex Cars: See the real Sheffield Simplex cars on display in the museum, then make your own mini model.

10am - 1pm each week.

All activities are free with museum admission, no need to book!

Children can also complete the Sheffield Museums Arts Award 'Discover' for FREE!
