Visitor Services
This role is all about helping visitors get the most out of a visit to Kelham Island Museum: helping them find their way around, chatting to them and making them feel welcome, answering questions, telling them about the history and the stories of the site. You can choose to volunteer on various days - Monday to Thursday 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm. There may be additional opportunities to volunteer on Sundays.
Family Programme
Volunteers support families in creative art workshops inspired by our collection, usually during school holidays and special events.. There is also a once a month toddler group, Kelham Tots.
Volunteer Information
Volunteers have the opportunity to access training for their role and are invited to special events, tours and social gatherings.

Hawley Collection - Name on a Knife Blade Project
The Hawley Collection, based at Kelham Island Museum, are looking for volunteers to help with their National Lottery Heritage Fund project to create a digital knife archive. If you are interested in being involved with Sheffield’s heritage and working in a friendly team this is the role for you.
