The Trust offers opportunities for people to spend time at Kelham Island Museum or Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet as volunteers or on placements. This time can be part of training for work, school placements, college or university courses, or for people who have a personal interest or wish to contribute to the Trust's work. Voluntary activities and placements mainly concentrate on working with the curatorial or education staff, and a limited number of places are open.
We do regularly take on volunteers and placement students, however we are a small organisation and as such have a limited capacity for providing these opportunities.
We are planning a work experience week for Year 10 students in the first week in July. If you would like to apply for a place on the programme please read the job description and fill in the application form below and send to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to Pete Brown, Learning Services, Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust, Kelham Island Museum, Alma Street, Sheffield, S3 8RY DEADLINE EXTENDED TO THURSDAY 31ST JANUARY Good Luck!
