TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for Kelham Island Museum
Kelham Island Museum is officially an ‘excellent’ place to visit according to leading travel website TripAdvisor.
The museum has received a Certificate of Excellence for 2018, which means it has received five consecutive years of ‘consistently high ratings from travellers’.
And it also has a bubble rating of 4.5 out of 5, and sits in the website’s top 15 ‘things to do in Sheffield’.
The museum now joins its sister site, Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, which also has a coveted Certificate of Excellence.
SIMT director Helen Featherstone said: “We’re thrilled our visitors consistently rate us so highly on TripAdvisor.
“We believe we offer our visitors a unique insight into Sheffield’s industrial past and our team works extremely hard to ensure people who come to Kelham Island Museum have an enjoyable and informative experience.
“The feedback we’ve received is brilliant and we hope to build on this again in the coming months.”
Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet and Shepherd Wheel both also have 4.5 bubbles out of 5 from visitor reviews on TripAdvisor.
According to Trip Advisor, 58 per cent of people believe the site’s bubble ratings are important for choosing which attractions to visit.
